Changes

Well some of you know we have had a big change in our life the past...month or so with the addition of a new kiddo. She is only temporary so we are officially getting our first taste of being REAL foster parents. I feel like God (of course) does everything for a reason and so I feel like she was placed with us for a reason. At first I thought it was because we were going to get to adopt her lol but I have come to realize it was not only to minister to her family, be a blessing in her life, but also to show me that Grace is enough for now. I SO badly wanted another child. I have realized that Grace fills all the voids of a child that I want. Yes I DO want a baby...lol who doesn't want a baby. And if we were to get a call for a baby today I would OF COURSE say yes...because well...its a BABY! But as for older kids...I don't think we can do it...especially kids who are the same age as Grace. So we lowered our Foster age to 18 months and younger since Grace is about to be 2 (in 12 days!) So I believe God has taught me through this new child that I need to be happy with what I have at the time and not always be wishing for more. God blessed us SOOOO MUCH with Grace that I should be thankful and happy with just her. I do have that desire for more children but....there is no hurry!!! I need to spend time with my baby! She's only 2....

Our newest is a sweetie, beautiful, but definitely has had challenges in her life already. I hope for the best for her and know God has a plan for her little self.

On another note...did I mention Grace is ALMOST TWO! :-) Thats crazy! She now talks like crazy too!! She can say so much!!! And says some sentences like "I go night night" "Bye bye Neesy or Bye bye Daddy" "Love you" "I want a bath" (which sounds more like I uh bash)

Anyways....thats it for today...a little spilling out of my feelings for once!

Blogging...

I hope to start blogging more often. Now that I can put whatever pictures up I want of Grace...I can document more of what is going on and what we are doing/have done! Since she is a little STINKER haha I hope to be able to write more and be a little more entertaining than before!

Isn't she gorgeous!! We got her pictures made a couple weeks ago at Walmart. They did an ok job. But at least we have a couple cute pics of her that are more "professional". This halloween she was SUPPOSE to be a little cat. But will NOT put the costume on!! So now she is a cute little fairy! Dress and wings! and she actually wears it! Plus I let her put make up on!! I'll put a pic up later...haven't taken a picture yet haha!

We had my works party this past Friday night for halloween...sunday night was church trunk or treat...this saturday is my parents trunk or treat...sunday is real Halloween! Lots of candy!!

Grace will be TWO in less than a month now!!! She's finally talking quite a bit! She's such a pretty little girl but still so stinking tiny!!! 30 inches tall and only 20 lbs!! and 2!! Love love love her!!

Ok...hope to write more often...and longer...and more pictures!! We will see how it goes! :-)

6 months later...

Well its been 6 months since I wrote because well...I just didn't feel like writing! Today I can officially saw we have started the ADOPTION process for my little precious girl Grace!!! Who is 19 months old....WOW! We had the BIG trial on March 3rd...which ended up not being very big. All the "legal" people were there and me, john, grace, my mom, dad, and my brother. That was it. No one from "the other side" showed!! All this time I was preparing for what I would do or say or how I would avoid the "mother" of my baby. She didn't even show. Which just made the case even easier...and well...not as exciting haha!! We kinda knew what would happen. PLUS all the DNA tests for the dad were negative and they had no other leads. So in about 30 minutes rights were terminated and we KNEW she was OURS FOREVER!!!!!!!!

This was my cutie at her easter party at her school!!!

Well...now we are in June...grace is 19 months old (or will be in 7 days lol). She is the cutest little booger!!

She can:

- Say mommy, nonnie, daddy, (doesn't really use any of those right but can say them), says Hot, Dog, Uh oh, Ow, and No (which is a new one lol)

- Loves Yo gabba gabb still but now like Elmo and The Upside Down show as well. We have more variety now (yay!!)

- Haven't had an official weight in a while but is about 18lbs now...finally lol.

- Still has a paci... :-(

- Is SO vocal now and is hilarious!!!

- We just started gymnastics and she LOVES running around the gym lol!

We have some other exciting news...that...I can't really say now...its not official but...just know there may be something exciting coming to the Windham household!!
