The time has FINALLY COME

Well for about 3 weeks now we have had a BEAUTIFUL baby girl in our home. We FINALLY got a foster kid!! SHE IS WONDERFUL!! We don't wanna give her back now lol. This is alot harder than it seemed...especially if we HAVE to give her back. But we are hoping that we get to keep her. Forever....but we will just have to see how it all works out. So...we have obviously been busy. getting up every 2-3 hours in the middle of the night to feed...doing a load of laundry every day....washing bottles usually twice a day....everything I have always wanted. Except I wish now I could just stay at home with her but I have to work...but luckily she gets to come with me for a while...then she starts daycare! im not really good at updating this thing! but...yay for finally having a kiddo!! and she couldn't be more perfect!

November...I can't believe it

Can anyone ELSE believe its november....almost december!!! Crazy!!! And yeah still no foster kids. We did get 2 calls...but one was for a sibling group of 4...the oldest being 7! and the other call was a sibling group of 3....the oldest being 5! We had to say no. That would be hard to start out with!! We did almost get a little boy but he is a moderate level of care and we are only approved for basic level of care...meaning he has some medical problems...but I heard he was SO CUTE! stinks! Cassie (my foster trainer) is on call this week and told us she would call us FIRST if she had a kid to place...but we still haven't heard from her...sad day! I honestly feel like the day will never come. There is also a new law where CPS can't take out kids just because of risk. They have to be very careful about when they remove them. AND if 1 kid is being abused they can only take that 1. They don't take them all...which is INSANE! So Cassie told us that their removals are really low so thats why we haven't been called. Oh well....the time will come...hopefully!! Anyway!! Just wanted to catch up! Going to Wichita Falls for EARLY thanksgiving on Thursday. Then for REAL thanksgiving I will be in Abilene....doing nothing. Just me and John because he has to work. Oh well.....Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This song describes PERFECTLY what my feelings are toward any foster kid we may get. Whethere they are 2 weeks old or 3 years old...I'll stand by them. This song makes me cry cuz I never realized it till tonight how PERFECT it is!! Soon I WILL be able to protect some kid...soon!

Soon...but not soon enough

Welp...no kids yet BUT we are done...just waiting for the home study report to get sent in...which his deadline is the 29th...so...I guess he's deciding to do it that day. THEN we will be done and just wait for a kid! This weekend we are going to wichita falls. John and our friend Danny are gonna work at Taco Casa on Saturday to get some more experience. John is the manager and danny will be the assistant manager. We are VERY ready for it to be built! Then the weekend of the 11th me and my mom are going to Plano to go to Beauticontrol training. Yeah I am a consultant but don't plan on really selling..just getting the free stuff when you sign up lol! but who knows...if someone wants to buy from me...be my guest lol!! Anyway!! ONLY 3 WEEKS AWAY

Soo we start foster care training THIS SATURDAY!!! and then the last day is the 19th!!! Then after that we will have a home inspection and hopefully get a kid placed in our home!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!! You should see the bedroom. I will put a picture up of it!! It looks like I have a baby. I also have clothes in all sizes for a boy and girl. I have a portable high chair, 1 car seat, johns parents gave us a crib and a baby carseat (both which are old) but better than NOTHING! I seriously cannot wait to get a child!! Who knows...we could get 2 right away! Or we could get 1....hopefully sooner than later. After our training on the 19th we are going to Crystal beach down near galveston with johns family. They rented a beach house so we are going there for like our last time as kidless couple lol. Then when we come back we should get the home inspection and hopefully get approved and placed with a kid!! YAAAAAAAAAY!!! Anyway!! Not much else has been going on. Just working...trying to fix up the house haha kind of. I have been babysitting Marissa a lot. She is from my day care and well she's my baby. She's 18 months old. I love her! Welp I dunno what else to talk about. Just though I'd do a short update!!

FOSTER PARENT

Sooooooo WE ARE GONNA BE FOSTER PARENTS!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAY!!! We start training May 26th and have a 7 week training course....so July 6th we should have a kid!! 0-3 years of age. I am SO excited!!!!!!! I know john is excited too...he's just scared which yeah it is kinda scary but...SO EXCITING!!! My parents have talked about getting certified so they can babysit in wichita falls! so thats good too!!!
Ok on to other news this past weekend was a ton of fun. Adam and Tamara came to visit and we had a lot of fun!! Tamara got to stay till sunday and melissa came down saturday till sunday for Shay's baby shower which was at my house! It was the first thing to HAVE at my house so it was fun! We start Dog training on wednesday for our Golden Retriever Tex...he just needs to learn basic obendience and it will help with his hyperness. Thursday we have a House visit from a lady from Texas Department of Family and protective services....she is just gonna give us info to fill out, give us a head start on what we need to do to our house and just meet with us!! YAY...but that also means I gotta get the house SPOTLESS!!! Friday we are going to wichita falls for MOTHERS DAY!! yay!!!!!!! Then next weekend going to Dallas for Kallen's birthday....then going the 30th to Norman Ok with Melissa, tamara, and laci for a girls weekend!! Anyway...better get back to work...which Im not really doing anything anyways...oh well!! Bye!!

Softball!

So I have been watching a TON of softball lately it seem!! John is playing on church league softball which is fun cuz I have gotten to know a lot of the other wives/girlfriends and the guys on the team! Sad thing is that John's team is not very good lol! 1st game they played they got run ruled 0-15....2nd game they got run ruled 3-15 and 3rd game well...they SHOULD have stopped it and it ended it up being 8-43. Yes you read that right 8-43. The other team was like a bunch of pudgy old men who can hit it out of the park. We have also been going to my step-cousins softball games. Jacy (who's 11) is SO GOOD! Her team is 3-0! Madison (who's 6 I think) team is 2-2 and she is really good too! We have only seen her play once though! So we have been busy with softball.
Our house is coming a little more a long all the time. We have hung up curtain rods (still deciding on color) and gotten pillows etc. We have planted flowers, chopped down the giant bush in front of the window..and tried to make the outside of the house look better.
Works good too. Tryin to stay busy (obviously not right now). I am officially doing billing so that is good...my title is "Medical Records and Billings clerk" and I am actually doing all that so YAY! Anyway...thought I'd write a bit.

Time to Catch up

Ok Catch up time!!!

Sugar Land was quick but fun! Glenda FREAKED out when she saw us! We suprised her at her school for her birthday and we were walking down the hall, she saw us and took off running toward us crying. It was kinda funny but sweet!! We got to meet her class and eat some cake. That night we had everyone over to the house and we bought bar-b-q and we all came OH and I got to meet Hunter. My baby nephew who is now like 1 1/2 month olds. but was 3 weeks old at the time! Then we left the next morning and drove back to good ole abilene.

Friday the 29th was my Papa's wedding so I got to meet my new step aunt and uncle and 3 step cousins which are ADORABLE! They are 3, 7, and 10. All girls!! And they pretty much attached themselvse to me lol. Janet (my papa's wife now) is great!! She's so sweet!! Like a REAL grandma!!! That weekend we also got my Nana's bedroom set, a piano, and my parent's dryer! (which is still sitting in the middle of our living room lol) But the bedroom set looks GREAT!!! But getting it to abilene was funny. We Borrowed my papa's truck and trailer...which driving wasn't bad but trying to get it into our driveway was.....rough. we ended up unhitching the trailor and pushing it up into our driveway! Then 30 minutes later hitched but up drove to monday to meet my parents with out car cuz john left his keys/work keys in wichita....so...BUSY day and night that saturday.

Tuesday the 4th we drove back to wichita falls because the 5th we went to Angel Fire to go SKIING!!! Wednesday we get there around 7:30 but they had gotten 13-15inches of snow and it was still falling and my dads little impala would NOT make it up the hill to the cabin which was at the TOP of the hill. John, my mom, and Scott Hollars had to help push the car up the hill. I had on flip flops...I was no help. The lodge we stayed at was Kristi Hollars uncle's lodge. This place is BEAUTIFUL! and HUGE!!!! It has 7 bedrooms but each bedrooms have like 3 beds. It was soo cool! What also was fun was playing with Adyson who is 7 months old and so precious and Ashlyn who is 5 years old. I of course LOVED and spoiled Adyson cuz well I love babies. Total there were only 14 people there (including the kids). And they all were so fun to be around and get to know! I HOPE we get to go back next year!! Skiing was fun too!! We only skiied 2 days because the 2nd day I twisted my knee which HURT SO BAD!! its better now but hurt then! I had so much fun with everyone! My family and John and the people I met.

So My vacations have been fun! This last weekend John's parent's came to bring back Tex (our golden retriever) who I hate right now. He's too hyper and doesn't listen and just AGH! But oh well. This weekend is gonna be more relaxing. I am getting a massage tomorrow YAY! and I am doing stuff around the house cuz we are closed for good friday. OK I think I updated for now. I am still waiting for Tamara and Adam to come visit me!!!! :-) And hopefully all of us girls can meet at Melissa's parents new house!! Let's plan it now girls!! I miss ya'll!! ok...ciao

Two weeks of Traveling!!

Next two weeks are gonna be crrrrazy! but fun! We are driving to sugar land tomorrow. We are leaving around 6 tomorrow night which is gonna SUCK because we won't get there till midnight and me and john do NOT stay up late!! Oh well...wednesday is Glenda's 60th birthday and our niece's 5th or 6th...I don't remember. Then we drive back on Thursday...another 6 hours. Me and John both work on Friday....but leave around 3 to drive to wichita falls for my Papa's wedding!! Then come back saturday! Work monday and tuesday then drive BACK to wichita falls on wednesday get in the car there and drive to New Mexico to go SKIING! YAY!! So busy time!

I wish I could write more...inspirational stuff but because I usually write at work I have to do it short! I'll write more later!! Bye

No title....not creative

Welp...writing while at work once again. Its been an busy couple of weeks...well kind of busy. We went to Sugarland the middle of January and had a really nice time! Found out that the baby is gonna be another BOY and they decided to name him Hunter James...cute! He's due in like 2 weeks so we are going down to Sugar Land again Feb 26-28 to see him AND to suprise johns mom for her 60th b-day. She doesn't know we are coming. After we come BACK from sugar land on the 28th we will both work the 29th then leave that early afternoon and drive to Wichita Falls for my Papa's wedding! crazy I know but I like this lady! then drive back that saturday and Tamara and her fiance are supppose to come down that weekend and hang out!! It will be SO much fun!!!!! We will really get to see if John and Adam are alike or not. We think they are from how we both talk about them etc.
I am still working out...had a big break because I went to sugar land and last week was working 9-5 and babysitting 5-10 so didn't have much time but am still going! someone today at work told me my arms looked bigger!! thats good!!! (stronger bigger not fatter) The biggest test will be if I can do a push up or not lol...I may give that another week before I try lol.
This weekend me and john are watching Kayla and Kira over night!!! Kayla is 3 and Kira is 2...they are my friend Juila from work kids. They are PRECIOUS!! and we absolutely love them so its gonna be fun!! Anyway better get to doing some work!!!!!!

The Weekend

Its friday!! And today we are leaving for Sugar Land! We will be there till Wednesday~ That is quite a long time but it will be nice to be with the family...plus I like being in Sugar Land because there is a lot of stuff!! Jennifer (my brother-in-laws wife) is having her baby shower on saturday too which is gonna be fun!!! She is due in February! I haven't bought her anything yet but I plan on getting like essentials...and plus they don't know what it is so I can't really buy any clothes for it!

Me and John have pretty much quit the unoffical weight watchers. We at least know now what NOT to eat and have cut down on some things. But we HAVE started working out and I have NEVER been so sore. Plus I have been with a personal trainer the past 2 times and yikes its hard! today I can barely walk because my inner thighs HURT!!!! But its fun and I can't wait till down the road when I can FINALLY do a push up!! Time to go...leaving for sugar land in about 1 1/2 hours.

At work...once again

I am at work again writing. Don't have too much to do right now so just thought I'd write real quick. Last night was not good cuz I got sick! I think it was from the Sharky's Burrito I ate which I LOVE that place so hopefully it won't have ruined me! I do feel better today just not 100%. I don't think anyone can feel 100% after barfing the night before lol!

Tonight me and like 15 people from work (and their spouses etc) are all going to eat at Buffet City (gross) but its gonna be fun! I really enjoy eating out with all these people! Ok almost time to go!! I'll write more later!

Im at work!

Im sittin at work on the computer well because I am bored and feel like I have done a lot of work today and can't think of anything else to do. PLUS its Friday! Me and John have unofficially (meaning we aren't paying for it just winging it) started Weight Watchers! I think its working!! We started Tuesday and I weighed Wednesday and Today I have already lost 2 lbs but you never know with scales lol. Everyone keeps telling me...Brenna WHY are you on weight watchers...You DON'T need to lose weight but its more about eating less and being more comfortable because I do weigh the most I have ever weighed... 125 to be exact!! Me and john are also going to get a membership to Golds Gym probably next week! So yay! Anyways I better get going since i am at work lol.

random thoughts

Welp as I sit here wasting time on this computer as my husband plays xbox I figured...why not right a blog. Its about 8:45 and well Im tired and ready for bed. It is sad. You get married, you automatically are old and go to bed early. I RARELY stay up past 9:30. Its sad I know and I can't sleep past about 7:30! Oh well!
I am really happy with my life right now besides the overwhelming desire EVERYDAY to want to have a kid, or adopt a kid, or foster a kid. But...I have to wait. Biggest test of patience EVER, which I do understand WHY I can't but...oh well.
I love my job. I love the people (most of the time), the kids (all of the time), and just the whole relaxed atmosphere. It's JUST for me. I don't make a whole lot but thats not what its about. It's about the kids and providing the right service for kids who's lives are already hard.
I really like my house. Notice I didn't say love! I like it because its a perfect 1st house on a GREAT street with nice hardwood floors and a lot of character. I don't really care for the kitchens floors/cabinets/or countertops but those MIGHT get changed one day. I also wish there was another bathroom. I am glad that so far we haven't seen any bugs...besides a few spider webs but thats it!
Speaking of bugs I am afraid of so many things!!!! and I don't really know why! I am afraid of bug (ALL BUGS), the dark, having a serious health problem, scary movies lol and Im sure other things that I can't think of. Sometimes I hate being scared!
Ok enough jibber jabbering! I don't really know who will actually read my blogs but I am gonna write anyway because well writing is suppose to be good for you! Ok well g-night!
