Patience is DEFINITELY a Virtue

No longer December...Trial now in MARCH!! Grrrr! But oh well...I have faith that no matter how long it takes Grace will become a Windham! ;-) God has definitely been teaching us Patience and to have Faith in his Will. Grace is now 1 years old and has become a little firecracker! haha! She is SOO funny at times but then can throw a fit if she doesn't get what she wants! It's kinda cute (at least right now). She is still not fully walking but can take 6-10 steps by herself and then falls down to crawl. She also is learning to feed herself with a spoon/fork and can say Please in sign language! She loves pattycake and thinks it is hilarious! She still loves giving kisses and LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba! She also LOVES to dance!! We had Aaron Watson on in the car and she just danced and clapped it was so cute!!

We had Grace's 1st b-day party which went GREAT and was a lot of fun...EXCEPT for Grace was sick! :-( She had 104 fever! so she was NOT in the mood! But she got a lot of really cute stuff! We had A TON of cake left too haha!

Tuesday we left to go to Sugar Land for thanksgiving! We had a nice time and got pretty much ALL our Christmas Shopping done!

Now its in December

So now Grace's trial is in December!!! It was SUPPOSE to be YESTERDAY!! Patience is definitely a virtue and something I am learning! They are still trying to get stupid DNA test's done! I understand the need to do it but don't understand! Anyway her first birthday is coming up pretty soon!! It's in 16 days!!!!!! Her birthday party is in 15 days!! AGGHH thats so soon! I have so much still to do lol!!! It's gonna be FUN!!!!!!


Her party is Polka Dot themed! I already have plates...they are red, pink, and green plates with white polka dots. Then I have cups and napkins that are pink with white polka dots that say the Big ONE! I am also gonna get different colors of paper and use a hole punch and make lots of dots to put on the tables as polka dots!! We are also gonna have an air castle! It just happens that where I work OWNS an air castle (a smaller one) so I am just using that!! We will also be having lunch (probably sub sandwiches for everyone) drinks and CAKE of COURSE!!!!!!


I am also getting party favors! Already have a few but need to get a couple more! Plus there are like 8 kids FOR SURE coming!!!! So I need to have like 10 party favors just in case more show lol!


It is funny how years ago the 1st birthday parties were low key...no one did much because the kid's only 1...they won't remember! NOW its like the BIGGEST party!! It is your childs FIRST birthday! THATS HUGE!! I love Tori Spelling (besides how her and Dean got together) but she is so REAL! She threw her daughters first birthday party and it was LadyBug Themed. She went ALL out but I mean they have a lot more money than us! Anyway I love how she LOVES parties and makes it ALL about the kid! So anyway....Im so excited! I need to get some streamers/decorations too. but that can wait! Anyway! Have a great day everyone!!

Rear-facing Car seats

I am READY to get rid of the rear facing car seat already. I wanna be able to see Grace and Grace see me. Well...looks like she won't be getting to be turned around till shes 18 months old!!!!!! She is only 15lb 9oz right now (at 10 1/2 month) and they predict she won't be 20lb till shes 18 months. Grrrrrrrr. She is my tiny girl! And I LOVE that she is so tiny...just irritating. We have been getting the winter stuff out for her and buying her more winter clothes...funny thing is the clothes she got last year as a newborn (size 0-3months) some can STILL FIT HER!!

Grace can now:
Give kisses!! Sooo adorable!
Point to things she wants or the direction she wants you to go (even though she may not know WHY she wants u to go that way)
She is talking like CRAZY (makes no sense) but occasional Mama and Dada and Baba in there.
She can take 6 steps now...ANY day...it will be constant steps
She is only 26 1/2 inches tall. She's a shorty...thats ok! :-)
She eats pretty much anything (including dog food) just ask John about that one!

November 5th...only a few days away!!! Hopefully it will be DONE by then!!!

Can't think of a title...

So November 5th is looking like the FINAL Trial....as long as this guy's paternity test is done and we have the results November 5th SHOULD be the trial!! yaaaay! Thats only a little over a month away!! Weird!!!

On to another note...me and john are thinking about selling our house and moving into a nicer/bigger house. We are not sure if we will right now but we are definitely starting to seriously think about it. Our house is 70 years old and doesn't have a good backyard (chainlink fence so no privacy) no garage...only 1 bathroom...and is just old. We have found 2 houses we really like and are in a good area and close to Taco Casa. So...we will just have to see what God has in store for us!

Hmmm what else?? John's 25th birthday is in 20 days!! I need to get him a present!! But that weekend of his birthday we are going to Wichita Falls for Matt and Cori's wedding!! I am a program passer outer lol. It'll be Grace's FIRST wedding...what should she WEAR?!? Then Sunday (which is John's birthday) I think we are gonna head to Dallas to stay the night and go eat out at a GOOD steakhouse!! and see melissa and brandon and maybe kallen and kelsey!

Grace is OFFICIALLY saying Mama! not sure she knows what it MEANS but she says MAMA and bababa and dadada lol. She also can KIND OF kiss. She can stand completley on her own now too...no walking yet though. only like 1 step but falls down. She's so funny...but still my little bitty girl! I am already planning her 1 year old party too. It is a polkadot birthday party! It is going to be at our church...and hopefully we will have a air castle and food...and FUN!! Im so EXCITED!! tee hee

The End is Near....in a GOOD WAY

Sooooo it looks like between now and November 30 we should be going to trial (its been moved) and TERMINATING rights....and then we get to start the adoption process! It is worth ever tear...every knot in my stomach...ever ounce of stress...Grace is the most precious little thing and she BELONGS in my family! She is MEANT to have Windham as her last name! :-) God always will and always has had a plan for us!! I can't believe in 2 months she will be ONE!!!! I am already planning her party! I am WAY excited!!

So since Wednesday we have been babysitting Kayla (5) and Kira (4). Just 2 nights. They really are SO well behaved!! Just hyper at times!! But having THREE girls....wow...dunno if I can have THAT many girls...but...who knows what God has in store for us. PLUS I have been driving their minivan...think its me?? Should we get one?? They will be selling this one in December (they are moving back to England). Maybe?? Speaking of being from England Kira says some things with a British Accent. "Water" "fork" "naughtey" there are others too. its cute! Ok...wish I was more of a writer...Im sure when Grace is older I'll write more...when she starts saying funny things! :-)

Faith and Updates

I can definitely tell you over the course of being a foster parent to Grace I have definitely learned to pray...and have faith. There are times I want to just cry cry cry but I have to stop my self and remember to have FAITH! God is in control and Grace will be where she is suppose to be. He will take care of her. As of last week we found out that 1 of the 2 alleged fathers has signed his rights away. So we only have 1 more hurdle which is finding out the results of this paternity test. If it is negative....October 6 should be the day they terminate ALL rights...if its positive and the guys signs his rights away hopefully we still can terminate. If its positive and the guy WANTS her he has until April. Hopefully if it is positive him and his family will realize she is in a safe, healthy, loving environment and will leave her with us. The best thing he can do for her.

On to Grace:
She is CRAZY! lol In a cute way! Sometimes I forget she is only 9 months old. She acts like a 2 year old!! Throws her self back when she is mad, screams when she doesn't get what she wants, its really kinda funny. Aubrey (at Kingcadekitchen.blogspot.com) lists what M is doing at that time...I love that (im copying you!!)

Grace can:
Crawl...fast!
Stand and walk around holding on to things
Stand by herself....when she doesn't chicken out
Say "uhhhhh yeah!" and "yaya" (no mama or dada yet)
She can WAVE BYE BYE!! ITS SO CUTE!!!
She loves Neesy (our dog)
She lays her head on things she loves....like Neesy! And we say Sweeeet baby!!!!
She likes to throw things...she's got a GOOD ARM!
Finally loves her bath again...we went through a time she hated the bath and would cry! now she has found out how to splash...so she SPLASHES till she's out of breath! If I join in....she DIES LAUGHING!!
She LOVES FOOD!!! Always wants what we are eating! and can eat a lot...since she now has 8 TEEH!!!!
She loves TV...especially Yo Gabba Gabba and Sesame Street!
hmmmm what else....we go for 9 month check up friday so we can see how much she is weighing/height! She's still tiny!! Finally growing out of some 3 month stuff!

We are redoing her bedroom!
Painting it Dark Brown...with purple and white circles!! Her bedding is White with brown and purple cirlces!! Im so excited to see how it turns out!!!!! She currently still sleeps in our bedroom in her crib...hopefully once the rooms done she can start sleeping in her OWN room! :-)

At Work

Yup...you read right....Im at work. Im back at The House that Kerry built but for only 20 hours a week. Not too bad!! Also I am the bookeeper at my church now. That averages about 2-3 hours a week. So yeah...2 jobs! CRAZY I know!! I take Grace with me to church and then my mom watches her when Im at THTKB or I'll take her to daycare and on Occasion I can take her with me. :-)

On to Grace: I love her more than anything. To her I am Mommy and john is Daddy. We are all she knows. I pray everyday...that she will be our baby forever. Lately I think about it ALL the time. I think it is because its getting closer to being over. It is scary. She has become a part of me. I think it would be CRUEL to take her from the only thing she knows (me and john). It would be like punishing her. I know God has a plan and it is in is hands...but I still worry. Im only human. Im trying to have Faith that God will work it out...and she will be where she is suppose to be (with us)

Been a while...sorry!

Well recently...we've had quite a bit going on! well I guess besides me working lol!! We went to Austin the weekend of july 11th for Laci's wedding which was beautiful!!! John and I actually went down to Austin thursday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary early!! 3 years!!!! CRAZY!!!

Awe aren't we cute!!! We had such a good time thursday night! We stayed at the Omni Hotel which was SUPER nice!!!!! We went to Fogo de Chao for dinner...which was AMAZING!!!!!! Its a brazillian steakhouse. you pay pretty much 1 price per plate and get as much meat as you want!!! They have 15 cuts of meat from beef to lamb. It was crazy good!!!! Then we just went back to the hotel and got in the hot tub and sauna lol. The next day we met up with Brandon and Melissa for breakfast!! Then Brandon had to do some work so Me, Mel, and John ran an errand to Walmart (good place to waste time lol)! Then after Brandon got done working we all decided to go see a movie since we had to check out of 1 hotel and couldn't check into our other one till 3. We went and saw Bruno (which was stupid). The character Bruno is funny but the whole movie is stupid! We then checked into our hotel (Crowne Plaza) hung out for a bit, got ready, then went to Laci's rehearsal and rehearsal dinner!!

This was outside the Iguana Grill where we had fajita's for the rehearsal dinner!! We then went back to the hotel and waited for Tamara and Gerardo to get in town!!

The next day was Laci's wedding. We had to be there at 8 to get pictures and get "ready". we were a little late...oops!! Sorry Laci!! The wedding then started at 10:30 and it was perfect timing, perfect place, and great food!! It really was great!! Then after the wedding we all hopped in our cars and drove to San Antonio to Melissa's Brother and sister-in laws house! She has a blog (Allison). The house was really cute, decorated cute, and I loved the kids bedrooms...she has EVERYTHING monogrammed with their name on it lol!! That night we all went down to the riverwalk to eat dinner and hang out!!! We went to this piano bar where the guy was HILARIOUS!!!

The next morning we slept in and got up and ready to go to schlitterbahn about 10! We were there till 8!! It was a ton of fun!!! After a LONG day of riding down tubes, floating rivers, and playing in the water we went to Gruene and ate!! The food was great but we were all EXHAUSTED!!!!! but we decided to go by Autumn and David's new house PLUS she had made us dessert! So we went to there house which was nice too!!!

The next day we had planned on going tubing down the river...but we were all so tired...we slept in and didn't. Plus I missed Grace...a lot....more than I ever thought! The trip really was great and I can't WAIT to go on another vacation with all of them!!! But next time Im bringing Grace with me lol!!!

I've joined the unemployed

Welp as of June 12 I officially was laid off!! The entire daycare at THTKB closed. It was so sad. We found out a day before it happened! We were all really sad and I am the ONLY office person to be let go. Which I was sad at first now Im kinda mad. But...I got what I wanted in the fact that I get to hang out with Grace but...money is TIGHT!! I have been applying places and am HOPING and PRAYING I get to work at church!! I might get to be the book keeper there!! It would be part time and I could take grace with me!!!! So we'll see...prayers would be appreciated!!!

Grace is growing up SO FAST!!!!! she is 7 months old TODAY!!! She is ALMOST crawling and eating anything she can get her hands on. I am really cautious about what I give her though..im paranoid she'll choke lol!! She's so cute though!!! She knows her name even!! (Grace and Boogie) She's the cutest thing on earth really!!!

So anyhoo!! have a GREAT week!!

Exciting next couple of months!!

Well Memorial weekend was fun! We went down to my Papa's lake house in Nocona and met my parents there. Pretty much relaxed all weekend. The water was really cold so I didn't really get in it but I layed out as much as I could. We took the boat out on sunday! I didn't do anything but ride and Grace stayed at the house with my mom. We had a lot of fun!!
Coming up in June 12 we are going BACK to the lake house to meet Tamara, Gerardo, Melissa, and Brandon!!! We are leaving Grace with my mom :-( but it would be easier for us if we did. I am so excited though to go with all of then and for all the guys to meet!! I think they will all get along good!!!!
Then in July we are going to Laci's wedding and spending the weekend till tuesday in san antonio with everyone!!! It's gonna be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!
Things are going pretty good in Grace's case. Next court date is in August...we are praying they don't find the dad or if they do he doesn't want her!

The End and the Beginning

Well we quit P90X after a week...BUT we are starting it back up next week. For those of you who don't know my brother has been living with us since January!! I love him but....it is time for him to MOVE OUT!! and he is doing JUST THAT this weekend!! YAAAY!!!!! So me and john are turning our "kid" room (that we don't use since grace is too small) into our workout room so we can do p90x in there without having to move the coffee table each time etc. cuz that was a PAIN!! The only NEGATIVE thing I have to say about the workout is its so LONG!! so getting home from work at 5:30...doing the workoiut for 1 1/2 hours...its then 7 oclock!!! I gotta eat...play with my baby/feed her/bathe her...thats the ONLY problem...but hope it works!!! I know I suck at updating...lol

TRYING to work out

Well Me and John have officially began the P90X workout. If you haven't heard of P90X well its pretty dang hard core!! It's what the guys from the movie 300 did!! Oh yeah Im gonna be buff!! That is if I last that long! but Im gonna TRY!! I wanna look good in a bathing suit in July! Anyway we started it last night and started with the plyometrics which is pretty much just jumping/lunges things! boy Im sore today..mainly my hamstrings. Tonight Im gonna do the abs which is a 16 minute video...probably won't be able to sit up in the morning lol! Im excited though...you work out for 90 days straight and are guaranteed to see results! heck yes! Anyhoo! Wish us luck!! I wanna get fit....I've never BEEN in shape lol! I will try though! I should put a before pic....naaahhhh

It's April!

Well I've had a nice past 2 weekends!

2 weekends ago John went out of town for a "guys" weekend so I went to Wichita Falls! Grace hadn't been there in a while so we spent the weekend there. We pretty much just hung out, went shopping, and got Grace's pictures made at Sears and they did SUCH a good job!!!!!!!! She's 4 months old and BEAUTIFUL!!


Last weekend me and Grace went to Plano to see Melissa and Tamara met us there!!! We had fun doing pretty much NOTHING but eating and watching tv and movies!! We went and saw the Curious Case of Benjamin Button which was good! Long but Good!!! Grace was pretty good through it too. We ALSO got to meet Brandon (melissa's boyfriend) who I really like! ;-)

Grace is doing amazing. She is 4 months old but was evaluated today and is pretty much on a 6 month level! She is a Genius! lol! We also started on applesauce!! She is babbling and playing with toys now! Its so much fun!!! PLEASE pray we get to adopt her! PLEASE!!!!! Anyway! Thanks for reading...those of you who do...I know Im boring! lol!

Time to Update

Well things are going good right now! Me and John are slowly redoing our bedroom! We painted the walls a dark grey...pulled out the carpet...and TRIED to put up curtains but I think they look funny as of right now. I had gotten a new bedspread about a month ago so we added new pillows and pops of color. We didn't get to refinish our hardwood floors in our bedroom yet because its a long process and I like sleeping in my bedroom. Plus its hard when you have a baby. But our accent colors are blue and yellow!!
Now on to your beautiful Grace! She is almost 4 months old...about 10lbs. So she's still tiny! 0-3month clothes are still kinda big on her!! Especially depending on the brand of clothes. We still can't adopt her...she is still our little foster baby. We are hoping and praying that we will get to adopt her...but who knows when that will be!
Im not really good at this blogging thing. I can talk for days...but can't write very long lol!!! Just thought I'd give a bit of an update!

You can't do anything without an ID

Lets just say Wednesday SUCKED!

I was going to be EARLY to work so I could leave early and come home and clean cuz I knew that people were coming in town this weekend. So I left the house about 8:05 to take Grace to daycare. Got there parked...grabbed the diaper bag, my keys, and Grace and shut the door. I signed her in at 8:15 did the morning routine stuff was back in my car at 8:17. I reached down to grab my phone out of my purse....but to my suprise...MY PURSE WAS GONE!!!!!!!!!! Yes I did leave my car unlocked but I was only in there a couple minutes, it was in front of a daycare, and I guess Im too trusting. Oh and my little clicker on my keychain that unlocks my car doesn't work so its a pain when getting a baby in and out because you have to go around unlock the door then go back around. ANYWAY!!! My purse was gone...phone, wallet, NEW camera, checks, and who knows what else. So I called the Police...and was at Grace's daycare till 10:30. The Policeman was SOOO NICE!! The preacher from the church also came over. (Minda street church of christ) ALL of our first thoughts was it was the people across the street because they are kind of shady and have been caught doing other stuff. The preacher went over to them and talked to them and kind of "threatened them" the policeman did the same but nothing ever showed up. They did misteriously leave a couple of times randomly...maybe to get rid of the evidence lol. SO anyway we TRIED to track my phone using all different ways but none of them would work. We all called it a million times...no one answered. Also in my wallet was 2 bank cards, 1 credit card, my SOCIAL SECURITY card (im a dummy i know), grace's medicaid info...and who knows what else. Sucks...bad!!
So the next day I went to go get a new phone, new drivers license, etc. I get to the phone place I tell them what happened and of course they want to see some ID. I told them uhhh it got STOLEN! so they can't sell me a phone without my id or johns id and john was working. So I left mad cuz I don't have a phone. then went to the drivers license office and well....they wanted check or cash and ALL I had was johns bank card...so I left BAWLING!!! I did end up getting a new phone later that night....but still don't have anything else...its kinda weird!!!! Ok well Thats my drama....

Oh working...

Ok...I've always wanted to be a stay at home mom...haven't really ever WANTED to work but found a job that was perfect for me over 4 years ago WORKING with kids. I work a daycare for medically fragile kids and a pediatric home health agency. for 2 1/2 years I just worked in the daycare...now I am in the office and sub in the daycare when they need help. Always loved this job...never wanted a new one. It kinda filled the void of being a mom and staying at home and didn't seem like "real" work. Until now! Now that I AM a mother...this job doesn't do it for me anymore. I use to come in early...stay till we closed...now I never make it on time and can barely WAIT to get out as soon as I can. I spend most of the day thinking about Grace...wondering how she is...if she misses me...if she's crying...if she's been changed...Is she being held a lot...is she gonna do something for the first time and IM gonna miss it. Working at a daycare...I have seen that happen one too many times...sometimes we don't TELL the parents so that we don't make them sad that they missed it. I don't want that...I want to experience everything first with her. The daycare she is at is AMAZING...don't get me wrong. I love all the people there and trust them all...its just that I want her with ME. Hopefully...soon...I will be able to be a stay at home mommy. and I totally could. Some people say they couldn't...they'd get bored...not me. Plus our house is messy enough I would always have something to clean lol!! Anyway...my job use to be everything I needed but now that I have gotten everythign I have wanted (a baby) the job just kinda doesn't matter. I do love my coworkers...and of COURSE the kids. They are the main reason I can get through a day there. Be able and go get a big hug or kiss. They yell my name. That makes it worth it...but yet I still think of Grace...and would give it all up just to be home with her. So yeah...just felt like writing about that. Oh and things are looking good for us to be able to adopt!! :-) yay!!

Sisterhood of the traveling pants??

So...I watched Sisterhood of the traveling pants 2 the other night. Which I loved lol!! But I got to say that it made me a little sad...or happy I guess. Me, Melissa, Tamara, and Laci are all I could see with those four girls. We don't necessarily have "pants" to pass around (Thats kinda weird lol) but it made me thankful to have you 3 girls. We are all different, have different opinions, lead different lives...but have great memories and no matter how long its been since we have talked or seen eachother its like not a day has passed. We have had our ups and downs but no matter what we know that we love eachother. I just wanted to write a blog saying how much I truly love these girls...love our past...and love that we will ALWAYS be apart of eachothers lives. We may not tell eachother a lot and I know I am really not good about telling other people that I love them but I really do love these girls.............. On that note...we really need a girls weekend lol!!! I miss y'all!!
